Book exhibition showcases library resources

The Directorate of Library and Information Services (LIS) hosted a Book Exhibition at the Pretoria Campus Library under the theme: “Expanding Access to Knowledge as a Vital Factor in the Entrepreneurial Development of a Nation.”

According to Mr Mahlatse Tema, Head: Acquisitions at the Library and Information Services, the event was aimed at showcasing academic resources, whereby academics, information librarians, and suppliers engaged in selecting relevant print books to support teaching and learning for students and researchers’ success.

“The book exhibition included a vast collection focused on shifting the university culture to build thriving entrepreneurial communities among staff, alumni, and graduates across all subject areas,” he added.

The exhibition brought together the acquisitions team, and book suppliers, including

Van Schaik, Logans, Vuga and RegExpress, to present a selection of resources that will strengthen the collections available in TUT libraries and enhance access to valuable academic materials for students and academic staff.
